When is 0% VAT applied?
When delivering goods to a business in another EU country, we can apply 0% VAT if:
- The VAT number is valid for intra-Community transactions.
- The delivery address is located in an EU country other than the Netherlands.
- The VAT number can be successfully validated.
Is your order being delivered in the Netherlands? In that case, we are required to charge 21% Dutch VAT. This also applies if the billing address and VAT number are registered outside the Netherlands.
How do you enter your VAT number?
- Always include the country code, such as DE, BE, FR or NL.
- Do not use spaces, dots or hyphens.
- Enter all digits and letters exactly as shown in your official VAT number.
- Do not omit any zeros that are part of your VAT number.
